I moved to Ocean Isle Beach in January 2018 after teaching school for 31 years.   I have been vacationing here since 1978 and my husband Eddie and I knew for years that this was where we wanted to retire.  We have 5 children and 9 grandkids with number 10 on the way. 

Where is your favorite place to travel?
Ireland has been one of my favorite places to go.  I also love to travel NC to find interesting different places, especially water falls. 

What's a fun fact about you that most people don't know?
I have 10 grandchildren that all call me J.J. 3.

What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend a day off is going on a day trip, especially if there’s good food involved, or working in my yard. 

What hobby or activity brings you joy?
Hobbies that brings me joy are sewing and crafting. 

Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My Father: He had complete and total faith in God!  He woke up each day singing and he always had such a joy for life.  

What is your favorite Bible Verse?
My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10 - Be still and know that I am God.
